Who can benefit from TLC non-medical companion care?
TLC offers support to seniors living independently at home, those in assisted living and patients transitioning from a hospital or medical facility to home.  We provide short or long term care.
What if a family member needs to be put in a care facility while receiving TLC services?
We transition with you and the facility to continue providing the services you request.
What are your hiring standards?
All of our companions undergo a thorough interview, testing, and screening prior to employment.  This process includes background checks, reference checks, license verification and driving record.
Are all of your caregivers employees or independent contractors?
All of our caregivers are employees of TLC.  TLC and its associates are covered by professional liability insurance, theft bonds, and worker’s compensation.
Will I have a choice on who comes to my home?
Yes, we encourage your involvement in the decision-making process.
Do I pay the caregiver directly?
No. You are invoiced after the completion of services.   Usually this happens weekly, you never pay the caregiver directly.
Can TLC help with medications?
TLC can assist in reminding individuals to take their medications, but cannot dispense medication.  A plan of care will be established prior to starting service.
